How to take a screenshot
Often we will ask a customer to take a screenshot so we can see something on their computer. Here is how you do this on a Windows or Mac computer.
Windows
- Press the PrtScn button on your keyboard. This stands for Print Screen.
- Open Microsoft Paint under Start > Programs > Accessories.
- Click Edit > Paste (or Control+V) to paste your screen shot.
- Click File > Save As and name your file.
- Attach the file to your email or support ticket for us to view.
If you are comfortable using your main photo-editing software instead of Microsoft Paint, you can.
Mac
- Press Command+Shift+4 all at the same time. When you do this correctly your cursor will change to a cross hair.
- Click and drag over the area that you want to capture. Once you let the mouse button go, a picture file will appear on your desktop.
- Attach the file to your email or support ticket for us to view.
