How to take a screenshot

Often we will ask a customer to take a screenshot so we can see something on their computer. Here is how you do this on a Windows or Mac computer.

Windows

  1. Press the PrtScn button on your keyboard. This stands for Print Screen.
  2. Open Microsoft Paint under Start > Programs > Accessories.
  3. Click Edit > Paste (or Control+V) to paste your screen shot.
  4. Click File > Save As and name your file.
  5. Attach the file to your email or support ticket for us to view.

If you are comfortable using your main photo-editing software instead of Microsoft Paint, you can.

Mac

  1. Press Command+Shift+4 all at the same time. When you do this correctly your cursor will change to a cross hair.
  2. Click and drag over the area that you want to capture. Once you let the mouse button go, a picture file will appear on your desktop.
  3. Attach the file to your email or support ticket for us to view.
